Can I use mosim™ Roaming SIM in any phone?
mosim™ Roaming SIM is compatible with the majority of phones bought in the last four years, however your phone has to be unlocked to use mosim™ Roaming SIM.
Is my mobile phone unlocked?
To find out whether your phone is unlocked, insert a SIM card from a different network into your phone. If it operates normally, it is unlocked. If not, you can ask your operator for an 'unlock code' which it is obliged to give you, though conditions and charges may apply. Alternatively you can unlock it yourself by taking your phone to an independent phone shop or by trying one of the independant unlocking websites.
Can I buy a mosim™ Roaming SIM mobile phone?
We offer a variety of unlocked phones which you can use as your 'travelling phone', complete with your mosim™ Roaming SIM card. Otherwise you can buy an unlocked phone from most independent mobile phone retailers.
What is international roaming?
Roaming is when you use your mobile phone outside your operator's coverage area and your phone automatically finds a local network, allowing you to make calls.
Can anyone call me on my mosim™ Roaming SIM number?
Yes, your mosim™ Roaming SIM number works just like any other UK phone number. Your friends and family dial a UK number and people outside the UK phone it as an international number, prefixed by +44 as the country code.
How do I top-up my mosim™ Roaming SIM?
To top up your account visit www.mosim.co.uk and follow the 'top up' links. If you have no access to the website, call customer services for top up, though there may be a charge for doing this.

What happens if I don't use my mosim™ Roaming SIM for a long time?
Your mosim™ Roaming SIM will expire 9 months from the last time you use it. If you are not planning to travel abroad for a while, make a call to reactivate your card for another 9 months.
I have inserted my mosim™ Roaming SIM card, but my mobile phone does not work.
Is your phone unlocked? Check here. If your phone is unlocked it may be incompatible with mosim™ Roaming SIM. Most phones bought in the last 4 years work with mosim™ Roaming SIM. You can check the list of compatible phones here. You can enter the following code *125*9*# and you will get a message telling you which country you are in. If you don't your phone is incompatible with our SIM and you need to buy a phone that is compatible.
